Pain has no age boundaries
It’s hard to tell how old my readers are - I can only go by comments or emails, but part of making this blog something that can and does appeal to people of all ages is the ability to address all people and their concerns regarding pain.
Of course, as we age, our bodies do tend to develop more aches and pain, but pain doesn’t respect age and age is no indication of pain.
Within the near future, I’m going to be introducing you to a young woman, only 21 years old, who has been living with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis since she was a young teen. To meet her face to face, you would never know how much pain she has experienced. Yet, she isn’t always in pain and is able - and does - live as normal a life as one would expect at 21-year-old young woman to live.
I’m excited about her participation because she really wants to get the word out about how pain is pain, regardless of age. If you know someone who is younger and who has chronic pain or you are the parent or loved one of a younger person with this problem, I invite you to spread the word about this blog and to return to check out our new feature.
Now, along the vein of not knowing the age groups of my readers, could I ask everyone who comes by this blog and this posting, to please answer the question below? I would love to know so I can tailor my posts to the different demographics. Thanks.
