It’s contest time at HelpMyHurt

To celebrate two successful months of posting on HelpMyHurt.com, I’m holding a contest for my readers.
It’s very easy to enter. In the comment section, tell us a joke - a funny joke.
To go along with the theme of laughter is the best medicine (Using laughter to treat pain), I want to have a nice stash of jokes or funny stories to post on Friday Funnies and - who best to ask then the readers of the blog.
I just have a few ground rules to make sure this is all in good fun:
- Jokes cannot be R-rated. Many people of all ages and beliefs come to the blog and I don’t want to offend anyone.
- Please remember copyright. If someone else wrote the story, you found it published somewhere, please acknowledge the author and where it is from. These are allowed, but as a writer, I’m very sensitive to the copyright issue.
- You can enter as many times as you like, as long as the jokes are not duplicates.
- Links to funny videos are ok, but please make sure they are in good taste. One reason I stopped watching Funniest Home Videos was because they were including videos of people getting hurt - I don’t find that funny at all.
Oh! The prize! I’m guessing you want to know about the prize?!
The prize is a new DVD of John Pinette’s I’m Starving!
For those of you who don’t know John Pinette, he is an hysterically funny comedian who I learned about after he performed at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival. You can read more about him at his website: John Pinette.
The contest will run from today, February 11, the 2-month anniversary of my taking over this blog, to Friday, February 15 at 11:59 PM. All entries posted after that date and time will not be eligible. However, I hope that people will continue to try to make each other laugh.
The winner will be chosen at random, so you don’t need to worry about how funny your joke may be. As long as you think it’s funny, that’s what counts.

hmmm i don’t know any really funny jokes.
but I wanted to show my support for your contest. I think its a great idea, giving away something to make people laugh - laughter always helps - unless of course you are drinking milk, at the time someone has made you laugh-and then well that just causes a bit more pain. right?
good luck to all the funny people out there.

OK, I’m so glad videos are allowed, because I’ve finally decided on an entry! This video is hilarious to me, and I expect it will be to any Harry Potter-obsessed ADULT fan (I use all caps for ADULT because this man plays on the fact that he’s 33 and addicted to Harry Potter - not for any R-rated material).
Now, this isn’t knee-slapping humor, but the way he turns this song into his own version (regarding Harry Potter) cracks me up every time I listen.

Laughter sure sometimes is the best medicine!
I often find some of the best things that make me laugh come out of the mouths of children; they’re just so innocent and they come out with the darndest things!
Unfortunately the majority of my jokes are R-rated, so I decided to share this video, which makes me laugh every time.

STORY OF A TIRED OLD DOG - Author Unknown
An old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home. He followed me into the house, down the hall, and fell asleep in a corner. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.The next day he was back, resumed his position in the hall, and slept for an hour. This continued for several weeks.
Curious, I pinned a note to his collar:
“Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.”
The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar:
“He lives in a home with ten children — he’s trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?”
