The shooting pain in your heart might not be Cupid’s arrow.
Do you know the symptoms of a heart attack? Did you know that symptoms can be different between men and women? Women often feel symptoms more like indigestion so they dismiss their discomfort, not realizing it’s something more serious.
Various heart associations across the world use Valentine’s day as a great time for heart health awareness. We here at b5Media are no different.

I think what’s so frustrating about these signs is that they’re so ordinary. I’d hesitate to call 9-1-1 for pains that felt like heartburn, or slight dizziness or nausea or anxiety.
I hope that real heart attacks feel more like “something big,” because even getting a list of these vague sounding symptoms isn’t going to convince some of us to take it seriously. It sounds hard to know it’s really a heart attack and not just indigestion or something.
Very scary! Thanks for the warning.

Thanks Alicia!
Crabby (my favourite crab!), that’s the problem - the signs aren’t more obvious.
A neighbour of mine, only in her mid 50s, walked around “not feeling well” for several days before finally going to see a doctor. To tell you the truth, she’s darned lucky she’s alive. She thought she had bad indigestion that just wouldn’t go away.
