Do you have severe menstrual pain from fibroids?
Some women have fibroids and their only symptom is a heavy menstrual period, but others experience severe cramping that can have an impact on their quality of life.
I found this interesting article that says that fibroids are more severe in African-American women than in white women. According to the study published in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, on which this article was based, “African-American women were significantly younger at diagnosis, had fewer days between periods, and more severe menstrual pain.”
