Thinking of starting an exercise program?

by Marijke Durning, RN on March 16th, 2008

For many people, the new year for starting diet and exercise programs doesn’t begin on January 1, it begins when winter starts to take its leave and spring is around the corner.

We all have heard the advice to be sure we’re healthy enough to do the exercise we want (or have) to do, but what many don’t do is make sure we’re ready for them, especially after a winter’s hibernation.

The NHS in the United Kingdom has published this article, Exercise without the injuries, in their Mind and Body Magazine. It’s worth a look for some hints on preventing injuries.
