For those of us who have migraines or problems that cause bowel problems, or even skin allergies caused by food, we know that certain foods can definitely make our life miserable. Eat one thing that is a trigger and your day - or days - can be ruined.

On the other hand, there are foods that are touted as improving our health. These foods include the omega3 fatty acids that are supposed to help with problems like arthritis, with its anti-inflammatory properties. Other foods, with high fiber content, may help people with irritable bowel syndrome.

We can’t discount the role of diet in our lives. People with diabetes must watch what they eat, as do those with high cholesterol. There are many disorders and diseases that worsen if certain types of foods are consumed.

The author of this article, Food Can Help Fight Pain, has compiled information on various studies about food. It’s an interesting read.
