Don’t like the freezing in your mouth?

by Marijke Durning, RN on May 13th, 2008

Visiting the dentist is an event that is often associated with stress for some people. They fear the anesthetic, the process, and how they feel (frozen) afterwards. dentistatwork_NC

Anyone who has had their mouth frozen knows how weird it feels and now dentists may have a way to help relieve that frozen feeling quicker. OraVerse was approved by the FDA for use in adults and children over 6 years old and it appears to cut the freezing sensation time in half.

Whether this type of medication is really necessary or not remains to be seen, but who knows, right?
