Heroes actor Jack Coleman spreads the word about women and pain
Jack Coleman may play a role in the TV show Heroes, but to many women who are living with chronic pain, he *is* a hero. Jack filmed a 30-second public service announcement (PSA) to help raise awareness of the gender inequality in pain and pain management.

What an awesome PSA for him to do. And I must say, he neither looks OR sounds like his sorta creepy character of Noah Bennet on Heroes!

Wow. It took me a minute to figure out which Heroes character he was!
On to a more serious comment….
I feel SO bad having seen this. I have a couple friends that are always, forever complaining about pain and I may have thought they were just being hypochondriacs (whiners, call it what you will).
I asked one of them once why she didn’t just go to the doctor and she replied, “I have, he says he can’t do anything about it.”
I heard that as the doctor knowing nothing was wrong with her…but you know, maybe the doctor was wrong.
Are there resources for women in that position to try and get help for long-term suffering that can’t be easily identified by a doctor visit and can’t be cured with a sedative?
