b5media Blogs For a Cause And Raises Money in Support of Charity

b5media celebrates the summer solstice by hosting a twenty-four hour blogging invitational with participating blogs publishing new posts at least once per hour for each hour of the day.
Toronto, ON – June 13, 2008 – In celebration of the June 20th summer solstice, b5media announces The Great Blog Off, where participating b5media blogs from the Business and Entertainment channels will post fresh content at least once per hour for each hour of the day. This is the first time since 1975 that the summer solstice hasn’t occurred on June 21.
b5media is comprised of twelve channels in total, with Business and Entertainment leading the way as two of the network’s largest, most well established topics. Each channel is competing to see which will boast the highest level of participation and raise the most money for charity.
The Business Channel is blogging in support of Accion International (www.accion.org). Accion helps small businesses all over the world to become established through small, manageable loans and business advice. The Entertainment Channel is raising money for The Actors Fund (www.actorsfund.org), which offers help for people in the entertainment industry when a personal or family crisis threatens their well-being.
The Great Blog Off begins June 20th at 12:01am (in each blogger’s respective time zone), with each blog channel accepting charitable pledges for a charity that supports a mission closely related to the focus of the respective channel. To find out more about sponsoring their efforts:
