Healing Touch is a therapy that builds on the knowledge that a gentle, caring touch can do wonders in calming and relaxing anxious patients, as well as those who are experiencing pain.

Not everyone likes to be touched when they are in pain - I know I don’t. Be near me but don’t touch me, is pretty well how I feel. But, that can change from moment to moment and there are times when a touch helps me realize that things will be ok.

This article, Study Of The Effects Of Healing Touch Therapy, is about an on-going study of Healing Touch (also called Therapeutic Touch). It describes Healing Touch as “a series of techniques that balance energy for wholeness within a person’s body, mind and soul. It is an energy therapy that can be used in conjunction with other traditional medical treatments.”

It will be interesting to see what the results are.
