Wii Senior Olympics!
I’ve been posting Wii Fit updates since I got mine a few weeks ago, but since I’m scraping off horribly applied indoor stucco off four dining room walls, all any energy has been going in to that for the past few days. I’m sure I’m not only burning tons of calories, I’m also going to get biceps to die for.
I do have to be careful though - I am having pain in my wrists again. If it’s not one thing, it’s another!
Anyway, in place of my Wii Fit report, I’m telling you about a Toronto, Canada, Wii Senior Olympics. From September 27th to October 3rd, Toronto-area seniors will be competing in Wii tennis, Wii golf, and Wii bowling. How cool is that?
I’m going to have to see if I can get final results but I’d love to congratulate the people who thought of this and coordinated it. What a great way to get people moving.

That’s an awesome idea. I’m pretty sure Nintendo is behind this event one way or another. In any case, hope someone organize something like this nearby. I’m still to get a Wii though :(

I think that’s a great idea! I had no idea seniors were “into” Wii’s but I agree, an excellent way to get people motivated.
Like mercola, I still need to get a Wii. Mind you, if Marijke can remove the stucco from her walls, maybe I can get a Wii as my excuse to get the awful lumps off my popcorn ceiling?! (LOL!)

Greetings,
I am the creator of the Wii Senior’s Olympics and thank you for your words of encouragement. No Nintendo is not behind this, but both Toys “R” Us and Nintendo were asked to partner. This has been in the planning for 6 - 8 months and we will take this to the next level. Stay in touch and I will keep you informed.

I am hosting Thanksgiving at my house and would like to hold a Wii Olympics with my family. Can you tell me how you set it up and what rules you followed
