Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin)

Aspirin is the name that was given to a new discover, acetylsalicylic acid, in 1897. The names are interchangeable now.

Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces fever and manages pain by reducing swelling and inflammation.
