Some with MS benefitting from acupuncture
While acupuncture is becoming more popular in North America, there’s still a resistance to it in some circles. It’s not entirely understood and there is fear about finding someone who is qualified as opposed to someone who isn’t well trained and who may cause more harm then good. Luckily, acupuncture is becoming a more controlled field and practitioners must study for a considerable length of time to become qualified. There is even a push in Quebec, Canada, to have a university program for acupuncture.
According to this article, Acupuncture gives relief from MS, some people with multiple sclerosis are finding good benefit from the treatment. Using it along with conventional western medicine (medications, for example), acupuncture seems to balance the body’s reactions.
Have you tried acupuncture? What do you think?
